Personality: Hunk is the gentle giant of the paladins. In the first episode, Allura stats that the pilot of the Yellow Lion needed to possess kindness and have a big heart, both of which Hunk has in excess. His friendly, laid back nature makes it easy for Hunk to make friends. His whole interactions with the Balmerans is a prime example of Hunk befriending a whole race, showing he has diplomatic potential. He is very good at reading people and isn't surprised when Pidge reveals her true identity. He even accepts Keith and his Galra heritage, although he's still waiting for him to turn purple. Hunk genuinely loves people and wants to make everyone happy, especially those closest to him. Whether that is through easing group tension by joking around or baking them cookies. Or at least... try to.
In contrast to his fellow hot-headed paladins, Hunk tends to air on the side of caution, often times siding with Shiro. He is usually the first one to point out how ridiculous a situation is. Despite his large size, he can be meek at times. However, Hunk can be a bit mischievous himself. One of the first times we met him, he went through Pidge's pack with the intention of taking candy bars but instead finds her journal... which he reads. And when push come to shove Hunk is fiercely loyal and there isn't anything he wouldn't do for his friends. When he set his mind to something he can be quite bull headed. Like when the group stopped to help Rolo with his stalled ship, all Hunk wanted to do was leave to go help his friend Shay. Another occasion where Hunk showed his assertive side was at the mall when he was enslaved shortly to cook at the food court, he turned that situation around to where he was calling the shots. No one messes with food on his watch.
Sometimes his jolly exterior masks his true potential underneath. Its easy to forget sometimes that Hunk is a technical genius, on par with his peer Pidge who is more outward about it. He is able to pick up on alien tech fairly easily and can whip out the techno babble with the best of them. One of my favorite scene is Rolo episode and Hunk is listing off everything he found off about Rolo's ship if was really damaged. Where everyone else excels in piloting or combat, this is where Hunk's confidence truly stands out. Besides the kitchen.
Abilities:
-Engineer: As stated before, Hunk is a technical genius. If it is anything technical, Hunk know his way around it.
-Cook: It is no secret the Hunk is a bit of a foodie. Hunk is a master in the kitchen. Even when using alien ingredients he has never seen or used before, he can whip up something edible for human consumption.
-Pilot: Hunk may not be as skilled as Keith or Lance in, but he does possess the basic ability to pilot a large mechanical lion. Not very gracefully at times, but he can.
-Paladin Armor: It's a kind of ability when he has it equipped. It's a high tech piece of armor that has a built-in oxygen mask that can be activated mentally, as well as a jetpack, gauntlet-mounted energy shields, and is heavily protected against radiation, temperature extremes, and impact forces, as well as the degradation of bodily functions due to extensive time in zero gravity environments, likely by simulating gravity to a degree within the armor.

It was clear from the background that Hunk was standing in the middle of the ship's kitchen... if his bright white apron, which he some how found, didn't queue off the viewer. Just at the bottom edge of feed almost out of view, Hunk was holding a tray filled with what looked like.... food? I mean.... edible food.]
Hey everyone, I'm making a fleet wide video. In case you don't know who I am by now, I'm Hunk. You might have noticed what I have in my hands. [He raises the platter higher into view and yep. It was food, food that didn't appear to be on the default menu. He beams a bit as he continues] I dabble a bit in the kitchen and I thought, hey! Why not share my culinary know-how with everyone since I can't be there personally to cook for everyone. Cause lets face it, these default recipes are.... lacking. If we're all going to be stuck here, the food might as well taste good.
So I was thinking about maybe doing a little show once a week? Let me know if thats something you guys want!
